Slow Food Baton Rouge supports community efforts in improving food access and healthier living by helping organizations, schools, and other institutions develop sustainable vegetables gardens and related programming.

Slow food's garden support varies depending on the institution's needs and can range anywhere from providing seed, transplants, lumber, or soil for beds to simply lending a pair helping hands.

This year, we've had the pleasure of working alongside and supporting the efforts of inspiring community members, teachers, and volunteers at the following gardens:
- Bernard Terrace Elementary
Capitol Middle School
- Polk Elementary

- Wonderland Headstart
