Slow Food Baton Rouge (SFBR) would like to thank you for your generosity and support of our annual fundraiser, Dinner in the Field. Unfortunately, the number of tickets sold to date will not allow us to move forward with this event. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and will be issuing refunds for anyone who has already purchased tickets. SFBR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that depends on outside funding and donations to help us continue our sustainable, local food work in Baton Rouge, including our inaugural Farm to School program Greauxing Healthy Baton Rouge (GHBR).
GHBR has been implemented in 3 public schools over the past 9 months, and we’re, working with students, teachers and volunteers to design school gardens, prepare healthy local snacks, and introduce students to chefs and farmers from their community! We even held our first Cooking Matters for Families class this week night with 15 parents and students from Dufrocq and University Terrace!
