Jaime Hernandez is executive chef at Juban’s. Jaime’s commitment to local food is commendable. On Saturday, his one morning off a week, you will find Chef Jaime at the Red Stick Farmer’s Market talking with, and buying from, local farmers. A Baton Rouge native, Jaime learned the art of cooking from a very early age, starting in the kitchen with his grandmother. Jaime has worked at Gino’s Restaurant, was executive chef at Primo’s Restaurant, and became executive chef at Juban’s in March of 2011. Jaime’s passion for local food can be seen on the menu of Juban’s, which features many locally sourced ingredients.
